Ricky Joe  Coffey
Ricky Joe Coffey, age 56 years, 7 months, and 9 days, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Wyndridge Health and Rehab in Crossville, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home . Burial followed in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery. The family received friends after 6:00 pm Friday, March 2.
He was born July 18, 1961 in Whitley City, Kentucky to Daniel Coffey and Wanda (Roberts) Coffey. Rick was a retired Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard, he had also worked at Toyota Motor USA in Georgetown. He attended the First Hickory Grove Church and found pleasure in listening to music, watching movies, reading, remodeling projects, gardening and yard work. Rick especially enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his father, a brother, Nelson, his grandparents, Herbert and Lilly Coffey, Ed and Osha Roberts, and Cora Roberts, aunts and uncles, Earnest Koger, Dean Roberts, Charlie Tucker, Wanda Burke, Elsie Gregory, Lois Koger, Wilma Dobbs, Janice Coffey and a special aunt, Doris Coffey, cousins, Melissa Coffey, Gary Tucker, and Jackie Tucker.
Survivors include his mother, Wanda Coffey, a son, Tyler Coffey and his wife, Tiffany, of Stearns, Kentucky, a daughter, Leigha Sumner and her husband, Dennis, of Whitley City, Kentucky, three brothers, Daniel Coffey Jr., of Strunk, Kentucky, Kevin Coffey, of Strunk, Kentucky and Steve Coffey and his wife, Rosemary, of Strunk, Kentucky, a sister, Debbie Ross and her husband, Lonnie, of Strunk, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Meghan, Lillie and Luke Sumner, and Hunter and Harper Coffey, nieces and nephews, Brian Ross, Brad and Emily Ross, Stephanie and Ryan Worley, and Kristi Coffey, great nieces and great nephews, Vincent, Mason, Kenzlee, Colton, Greyson, Raylee, and Emerson, aunts and uncles, Sue and Gordon Hatfield, Eddy and Sharon Roberts, Faye Tucker, Phyllis Williams, Ken and Mable Coffey, Kel and Janet Coffey, and Bob Coffey, numerous cousins and countless friends .
